Ella Brinckerhoff is a NYC-based filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer, and colorist. Originally from Orlando, FL, she recently graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television, with a focus in cinematography.

In her work, she aims to enhance the voices of queer female filmmakers like herself. She is passionate about all forms of narrative storytelling, bringing directors’ visions to life across a variety of genres. She has also both led and been a part of various music video, commercial, and dance film productions. She loves working with both analog 16mm and 35mm film processes, as well as digital camera technology.

She has well-rounded experience in production, having worked as a camera operator, camera assistant, loader, gaffer, and key grip. As an on-set production intern at Manhattan Place Entertainment, she collaborated with major production companies such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and NBC Peacock. She currently works at NYU’s Production Center as a technical assistant. She is also involved in the post-production space as an aspiring colorist.

Her cinematography sets itself apart with a soft and natural style. She works to create images that feel like memories and to tell the quieter stories of living and being human.
